It sounded like fun and a great way to get to know and help the community. What is your role within your department? Interior Firefighter What is one of your most memorable moments in the volunteer fire or emergency services? When I met my first cardiac arrest survivor Why do you think it is important for young people to get involved with their local volunteer fire department? The older generation won't be around forever and the younger you are, getting in, the more time you have to learn from people who have been doing it for years. What contributions do you hope to make in your community? I hope to be a reliable person for the community. Do you have any advice on balancing the demands of volunteering with your job/family? Don’t make volunteering your life, learn to balance. Some days are for the firehouse and other days are for the family but always put family first.
